Therapeutic Philosophy

I stand firm in the belief that there is immense healing power in cultivating a space where you can be truly heard and unearth your most authentic self. My passion and drive as a therapist lies in nurturing this space so that you can make strides toward your personal goals, whatever they may be.

Acknowledging the uniqueness of being human means tailoring therapy to meet each person where they’re at. This means I take an eclectic approach to therapy, pulling from a variety of modalities. I primarily take a person centered holistic approach rooted in somatic body-centered, emotion-focused therapy. In a nutshell, this means I aim to help clients get out of their heads and into their hearts and bodies. The fast paced, highly stimulated world that we live in promotes activation in our nervous system that can lead to racing thoughts, rumination, struggles with executive functioning, challenges with emotional regulation, barriers to connection with self and others and more. My ultimate goal is to help my clients slow down, tune into the wisdom within their hearts and bodies, and learn how to regulate their nervous system so they can engage with the world around them from a place that feels intentional and aligned to their values system.
